Musictech and its Facilities

Musictech was formed by Antony West in 1990. Building on experience gained from both a musical and academic background the aim was to develop the provision of tuition in popular and modern studies for guitar and bass to all ages and abilities.

With partnerships with Fret Music Ltd and Southampton City Councils Education Services, Musictech has grown to be one of the most popular specialised instrumental schools in the area. Over the years countless students have realised their potential both as proficient instrumentalists but also becoming valuable members of the wider musical community. Many students have gone on to become professional musicians in their own right and many others achieving excellent results in internationally recognised exams (see our RockSchool courses).

Situated within the site of Fret Music one of the largest independent rock and pop music stores in the south, students have access to trying out many products during lessons also qualifying for extra discount as a musictech student.

The teaching zone is situated on the first floor and has purpose built teaching rooms for private lessons and a live room for group sessions, courses and workshops. There is ample drop off space and parking nearby.
